You know those people you meet before the correct time?
It is usually those casual meetings that lead to a connection which can drastically impact your life.
.
Six years ago (2017), I was staying with my Aunt and The Hidden Gem. My Aunt had just died and to help with the grief, I would leave the house and walk to the small neighborhood library.
I started reading magazines, then books, and then attending some 1-hour presentations.
It was at one such presentation I attended, that I saw a passionate speaker. I liked The Speaker’s essence. The Speaker was knowledgeable, polite, and focused on teaching people how to better themselves by showing where to go to get specific assistance. The Speaker was all about getting people to the next level.
At the end of The Speaker’s presentation, I went back to the ‘Sign-In Sheet’ and added my email address.
I had no clue what that simply action would turn out to mean for me.
.
Fast-forward 3 years later, where no one was in touch with anyone else, and it was now the global pandemic of 2020. The Speaker sends a group email about presentations and courses offered, now online to deal with the world pause.
I virtually attended one of The Speaker’s presentations, and I learnt.
A few days later The Speaker sent another email of a new list of facilitated courses with guest speakers and hosts.
I read the list, selected the one which spoke to me, and found myself in virtual attendance.
Hey, it was the pandemic of 2020, everything was crazy, I was alone, and I had just left a virtual funeral where I sang lots of hymns VERY LOUDLY.
And it was exactly in that selected webinar, that I connected with The Educator.
.
There is a whole world of professionals who quietly assist others by involving themselves in ‘give back’ groups.
I found some of them.
Turns out The Educator is a sharing individual, a reputable person and a Tertiary Level Executive with connections.
.
I am attracted to truly humble people, and thoroughly enjoy being among them. Yes, I can tell the difference between natural humbleness and yet-to-be real humbleness. You would never guess, because I am equally polite to both offerings.
But when I am among true humbleness, I feel the oozing of calmness, peacefulness, patience, love, and mutual respect. Life is so good. Like warm air blowing around as you sit in the sunlight enjoying flowing smells of savory food and Jasmin flowers.
.
It is written,
“Give a woman a fish, feed her for a day.
Teach a woman to fish, feed her for a lifetime.”
The Educator taught me to fish.
Not only me, but others too.
.
I did all sorts of webinars and workshops with The Educator.
The Educator could not have been in a more perfect role. A strong and knowledgeable person, set on helping and lifting others.
.
In those earlier days when I was uncertain on what I wanted to do, The Educator never pushed or forced me. The Educator knew I was self-motivated, just a bit lost at the time. And like The Storm, The Educator allowed me to linger, explore and try, as she patiently left me alone. Then when I started to show signs of the direction I wanted to follow, The Educator listened.
The Educator taught me how to seek the things I was interested in, and how I needed to get myself involved.
That is exactly what I needed. I was a natural go-getter; simply share the guidelines, pointers, warnings and then give me the map. I was not the type you needed to encourage or motivate; I was the one you needed to tell to ‘slow down’ every now and then.
Well, if I did not listen to some people around me, my Brain made me rapidly settle down as it evoked the sudden ‘shut it all down’ card.
.
One day, The Educator made some adjustments to my profile. In my profile, I had listed only my name and a picture of myself. The Educator inserted the figure of a pen, and term ‘I Write’, and long before I ever imagined that I would indeed, write.
That simple symbolic description next to my name and picture, generated huge internal waves which allowed me to internalize what it was, I wanted to offer to the world.
.
The Educator and I are yet to meet in-person. It has all been virtual thus far, and in all our various communications, I can ‘feel’ her patience and kindness. That says how powerful her manner is, The Educator seems to emit those feelings through anything. It is always a pleasure for me to interact with The Educator.
.
I am very grateful to know The Educator. She has helped me refine my focus and learn ways to fully inhabit my chosen path.
The Educator helped me notice the door calling to me,
“Come,”
as my heart was shouting back,
“Here I am.”
